Success of the Women Conductors HUB: women on the podium transforming orchestral conducting in Latin America
The Women Conductors HUB of Fundación Vibra Clásica has become a unique reference in the region, advancing women’s leadership in classical music and opening new opportunities on the conducting podium. With mentoring, training and international visibility, the HUB has brought together talented conductors from different Latin American countries, strengthening networks of collaboration and generating a real impact on gender equity in music. This pioneering space continues to grow and to position Chile as a center of cultural and artistic innovation in Latin America.
Encounters with teachers and mentors
The 2025 program included international and national figures who shared not only their artistic experience, but also their life lessons:
A growing community
Over five intense days of work with the Chamber Orchestra of the Municipal de Santiago, under the music direction of Alejandra Urrutia, the participating conductors found their artistic and personal voice. The closing, with the final concert in Sala Arrau, confirmed the impact of this space: authenticity, commitment and transformation on every podium.
In the coming weeks the full video of the final concert will be published, an opportunity to relive the force of this unique experience.
