A historic moment: “Raíces y Alas” is born
Vibra Clásica
Our Artistic Director Alejandra Urrutia receives, deeply moved, the final score of “Raíces y Alas,” the original symphony commissioned from composer Sebastián Errázuriz for the Grand Concert for Brotherhood on 12 January at 8:00 pm. This work, created to commemorate 80 years of Gabriela Mistral’s Nobel Prize in Literature, goes beyond homage: it is an urgent call to our responsibility as older sisters and brothers. Mistral dedicated her life to reminding us that childhood cannot wait, that its protection, education and rights are our most sacred duty. “Raíces y Alas” asks us: who are we being for the children of today? This symphony is an invitation to answer with action, care and commitment.
